Accessibility and CSU

We endeavor to accommodate the accessibility needs of our patrons and community program participants. Please contact us if we can better serve you or if you cannot find the information you need below.

    We're planning for success

We consider accessibility and ADA compliance for every event that we participate in. We pay attention to considerations such as

    1. Checking that each event welcomes all people. We look to make accommodations where needed.

    2. Paying attention to how people arrive and leave each event.

    3. Looking at the terrain, entrances and exits.

    4. Thinking about communication in a manner that promotes providing text, visuals, and audio modes for the work where possible.

    5. Using RSVPs as opportunites to request an accommodation.

    6. Staff training and education on awareness and bias, which will go a long way to making guests feel welcomed.

    7. Getting involved in event planning needs with an awareness of the need to potentially modify actions to create an inclusive event.

    8. Evaluating access to accessible toilets and changing stations in the space.

    9. Checking for a designated space of respite. (quiet space)
